“Our Shlichim bridge the gap between Jews of different backgrounds and Israel, increase Jewish awareness and pride within your community and promote an understanding of Israel and its ideals.”
– The Jewish Agency for Israel
The Westchester Shlichut initiative officially began in September 2013, thanks to the collaborative efforts and generosity of the Rosenthal JCC, The Westchester Jewish Council, UJA Federation, Hillels of Westchester, The Jewish Agency for Israel, Carol and Michael Lowenstein, the Adnim Foundation and the Nedivot Venture Philanthropy Fund at UJA- Federation.
Westchester’s Shlichim act as emissaries who operate collaboratively through the Westchester Jewish Council and its 150+ affiliated agencies, including synagogues, JCCs, organizations and with individuals to bring Israel to the Westchester.
